Trash The Dress
John Michael Cooper, an amazing and bleeding edge photographer from Las Vegas, started an awesome trend when he set a bride on fire. Well... of course he didn't set her on fire, it was a little bit of Photoshop magic, but it was her actual wedding dress. Check out his site.
About once every two years, Susy and I come across her wedding dress. It is sealed, in a box, under our bed. We pop open the little cardboard window and smile. We turn our gaze toward each other and she usually breaks the silence with, "Why am I keeping this thing? I am never going to wear it again. I should give it away."
Genevieve and James Nisly from genevievenisly.com invited Susy and I to come along with them recently to film what Susy and I should have done 9 years ago. One of their couples, Marc and Megan, wanted to have some fun with the dress and create some amazing photos and video in the process. This was the result.

We had such a great time with Marc and Megan. It was such a different feeling than what surrounds the wedding day. With no time constraints and not having to worry about getting a little dirty, it is amazing how creative and fun the day was.
Maybe for our 10 year anniversary, we can pull the box out from under the bed and finally do something with that dress after all.

Brian and Suzy,
We cannot thank you enough, the video came out wonderful! I just love it, you two do such great work. Regardless of the cost of my dress, this is a much better keepsake to have...(and P.S. the dry cleaner was hopeful that they could salvage the dress!) Can we get a copy?
Megan & Marc-
This video is amazing! I almost started crying b/c you two look so happy and Megan you look so beautiful. Congrats on your 6 mths!! Hopefully Ken & I can come visit you in DC soon! :)

Brian,
I went to vote for you (after I voted in the photography category for Genevieve & James) in the videography category on the FOX website and you were not listed! Let us know if you can add yourself and we will vote. Can't wait to see the TTD session in October..

What a fantastic idea!! I might just have to book you both again! (I had you both as our photo/video vendors)
Maybe I just wanna wear the dress again but I love how artsy these photos are! They are so relaxed and fun!

You are very welcome. We both had a great time. Thank you for letting us trash your dress. You can definitely have a copy of the video.
Unfortunately I was not allowed to enter the contest because they said I do not have a store front in Cleveland. Neither do some of the other businesses but... whatever.
Thanks for looking us up Alyssa. We had a good time on this project. We have another one coming up in October that we will be posting. We are going to try to go with a little different vibe on the next one. Check back.
