Vince & Anecia’s Same Day Edit

The Hindu Pandit summed up Vince & Anecia’s wedding day best when he said of the Hindu ceremony, “We condensed 4 days of ceremonies into 45 mins.”

I had some serious doubts about being able to pull off a Same Day Edit for Vince & Anecia. The schedule was literally non-stop from the 10am preparations to the 11:30pm sparkler send-off and yet you could tell that Vince & Anecia had a great time and took it all in (Especially Vince with the dance moves. How he had the energy I do not know.) But Susy and I tag-teamed all day captureing the video and editing it in between all of the events and showed the SDE right on schedule.

Vince and Anecia warmly thanked Susy and I at the end of the night. Vince said, “Everything about the day was great, but (the SDE) made it perfect!” and “I have not cried in a long time, but that made me cry!” Anecia followed that with, “I have NEVER seen him cry”.

A huge thanks to Ted & Rachel from Linczak Photography for all their help during the day. Not only great people but great photographers.

A Great Toast! - Dan & April’s Wedding

Susy and I obviously hear a lot of toasts. We always giggle when we hear one of the “classic lines” that are somewhere on a website that everyone seems to draw from. Then there is the opposite extreme of the drunk groomsman who says the name of the groom’s x-girlfriend instead of his new bride’s. Yes, it has happened.

So we find it really refreshing when someone comes up with an original idea for a toast. This past weekend’s was a classic. Not only was his toast original, it was hilarious, personal, and touching. It was one of the best I have ever heard.

“And the Oscar for Best Bestman’s Speech goes to Michael Symanski for ‘ABCs’.”

We had the priveldge of working with Ted & Rachel from Linczak Photography for the first time this weekend. They are both awesome photographers and just great people! Check out some of the photos on their blog.

Friday’s Favorites - Susy joins the Blogisphere

One thing is certainly true for us in the summer. We are busy. Not only does the wedding season get into full swing in May and June, but the flowers, plants, and the grass around the house begin to consume a lot of time. Thankfully Susy loves to take care of the latter. She is quite a gardener.

This year she has taken it up a couple notches with the addition of some raised beds for a proper vegetable garden.

To document all of her work and keep a record of when to plant everything next year, she decided to start a blog. Check out Chiot’s Run Blog.

Another Note!

Dear Brian and Susy,

Erik and Mary’s wedding video is so wonderful!! You captured the feelings of the day perfectly. Just 2 months later, I had forgotten some of the excitement and happiness, but being able to look at the video brought all the wonderful memories back. We are so happy with such a beautiful remembrance of the day. Thank you so much!

A Note From Molly

I always like getting notes like this…

WE GOT THE DVD this weekend and we are dyingggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg. WE absolutely love love love love love your work and can’t believe we have that to keep forever. it is the best thing we did as far as wedding planning goes. we sent our parents their copies too and i think we have all watched the DVD a combined 100 times. you are so great! thank you so so so so much! you did a fantastic job.

10 YEARS!!!!

Last night Susy and I celebrated 10 years of wedded bliss. May 30th, 1998. That’s right, in the last millennium.

It is amazing when you are with someone for so long. We always say that it feels like we have been together forever and yet it doesn’t seem like it has been that long. I must say though, I am sure glad I found her. No offense to any of you recent or soon to be brides, but I do have the best wife in the world.

So how did we spend our big milestone 10th anniversary?

Filming a wedding of course!
