Dean & Laura's Same Day Edit

Yesterday we were on the North Coast for a beautiful day.
Tricia Dever from Always Eventful was the first person I met with after starting our business and we have been friends ever since. It was a great honor to be asked to film Tricia's sister's wedding. Tricia wanted to surprise Laura with a small photo montage and I suggested that we put a Same Day Edit on the end. During dinner Tricia pulled Dean and Laura out to the hallway where we had set up our 32" LCD TV. Tears and hugs were shared by everyone. The Same Day Edit played all night and I noticed many people watching it 4 or 5 times in a row.

Steve & Amy's Same Day Edit

As we were packing up for the night Amy's mom stopped and said, "When Amy first said she wanted to hire your company for videography, I said 'Okay...' (apprehensively) then she sent me a link to your website. I was crying watching the videos and I didn't even know the people. After seeing that video tonight, I know she made the right decision."
And that, my friends, is why we enjoy what we do...

Anthony & Silke's Same Day Edit

The excitement of pulling off a Same Day Edit is enough to keep us wanting to do them but an even bigger encouragement is when the couple, the family, and the guests shower you with thanks and praise.
When Silke sent me her song choice, I knew that this SDE was going to be a good one. The way the music changes during the opening of the doors gave me chills when I finally got it to line up.
Being able to include the first dance 5 minutes after we filmed it is such a cool thing. I heard audible gasps when the shots of the first dance came on the screen. Susy was standing next to a bridesmaid that said, "What's next... shots of the future?"

Brian & Megan's SDE

Spending day with a bride and groom and their families gives you a chance to get to know the couple in a unique way. You see who is important to them. You see the things they value. You hear stories about them and what makes them special. Sometimes you learn about secret nicknames (see the end of the video).
One thing is true. Every couple is completely unique and that becomes the essence of their video.

Two notes about yesterday. Due to the set-up of Severance Hall, we could not film our two angles during the vows as we normally do. I stayed in the back to get a wide shot. Susy filmed both Brian and Megan's angles during their vows running from one side to the other around the back of the balcony (that is dedication!). Secondly, a huge thank you to Scott Jones and his assistant Casey. They helped out in numerous ways yesterday which made it possible to pull off the SDE on a very, VERY tight schedule. Thanks Scott!

Nick & Stefanie's Same Day Edit

We have always heard great things about The Club at Hillbrook in Chagrin Falls and now we know why. It provided a perfect backdrop for a beautiful wedding. There is such a rich history all around you. You feel like you have stepped back in time.
When I talked to Stefanie before the wedding we decided to keep the Same Day Edit a secret from everyone, including Nick. When I showed them to their seats for the viewing, Nick said, "But we are not doing a garter [removal]". Everyone was completely blown away by the SDE especially since we only had about two hours to edit it. There were laughs, tears, and cheers!

It was great to see Ronnie and Andrea who have a couple videos on the blog and one on the home page. I talked with them about a secret project I have in the works and they were completely on board. It was also great to work with our good friend Jamie Jansen.
