Tim & Katherine's SDE

Yesterday was the perfect day. 70 degrees, sunny, light breeze, and a wonderful couple. Perfect.

We spent the day with Tim & Katherine. Katherine had a special surprise for her family, friends, and especially for Tim. When I first told her about the Same Day Edit, she loved the idea and we decided to keep it a secret from everyone. We added the Same Day Edit to the end of their photo montage. When the black and white still shots changed to video, a collective gasp was heard throughout the room.

I sometimes tell people that I feel like a family historian. I capture the events and emotions of a day that only happens once but will live in memory (and now on video) for a lifetime. For this reason, it is always a privilege to be invited by a family to film a second wedding. I have the honor of helping to preserve that one day for generations to come.

This was the case last night. Last year we captured Scott & Stacey's, Karey's sister, wedding. It was great to be back with the family again. It was made even better because we got to produce a Same Day Edit this time.

For our second TTD session we wanted it to have a different feel. The last one was very urban grudge.

Michael & Amy - Great Song Choice!

People often ask for advice on what songs they should use for their videos. I always say that the songs should fit their personality. This year I have been encouraging everyone to pick songs that are not the traditional "wedding" songs.

Michael and Amy definitely took that advice to heart and because of it I got to have some fun with some of their pre-ceremony footage.
